GENERAL POLICIES/PROCEDURES

WHAT TO WEAR

  • Boys or girls may wear tucked in t-shirts and comfortable shorts/sports pants OR leotards. Clothing should not have buttons, snaps, zippers, large rhinestones or other hard metal bits that could damage the equipment. Jeans and jeggings do not allow the necessary movement for class activity.

  • NO chewing gum is allowed.

  • Jewelry should not be worn during classes, especially dangling jewelry, including necklaces, as such items can interfere with the student’s ability to participate in class and/or pose a safety hazard.

  • Hair should be pulled neatly and securely away from the face so that is stays up for the entire workout.

  • All students should be barefoot at all times, with feet cleaned with baby wipes before entering the gym, unless a specific gym allows activity-appropriate indoor-only footwear during class.

  • Personal items should be left in cubby holes. PLEASE LEAVE JEWELRY ARTICLES AT HOME. This facility's staff will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen. Be sure your student's personal items are marked with their name.

ARRIVAL AND PICKUP
Be sure your student arrives 5 minutes before (no earlier please) his/her scheduled class time. Please pick up your student on time. Please inform us if you know you will be late picking up your student. Instruct your student to wait inside the building and you should escort them from the building to your car. During peak times the parking lot may be very crowded. Please take into consideration that our students may include young children. Please drive slowly and carefully. Do not take a chance on your student running to and from your car.

WAIVERS

Anyone who wishes to enter the gym for the purpose of using the equipment (the sole exception is an adult supervising a child who is using the equipment at a parent participation class, open gym, birthday party or event) MUST have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before s/he will be allowed in the gym. Since online registration requires accepting the waiver, currently enrolled students (not on hold) do not need to sign the waiver in person, unless they are visiting a different Dynamite gym. If the waiver changes for any reason, the next time an account holder logs into a Parent Portal, the system will present the amended waiver for perusal and acceptance.

Guests not currently enrolled at a Dynamite gym must have a waiver currently signed by a parent or guardian before being allowed in that gym. Those arriving for special events who have pre-registered online may be asked to sign the waiver again. Dynamite reserves the right to request the waiver be signed anew if deemed necessary.

There is a printable “Age 10&Up” waiver ONLY for children ten years of age and up, who are attending a specially-designated “Age 10&Up” open gym (all open gyms are listed on our Events calendar and color coded by type, with descriptions and pricing noted on the calendar). Children ages ten and up may be dropped off with a parent-signed waiver for their age group, ONLY if the specific Dynamite gym allows. Please ask in advance if the gym you wish to attend accepts the “Age 10&Up” waiver.

Our Open Gym page provides links to the waivers, but you must still inquire if the “Age 10&Up” waiver is allowed for the specific open gym session or event you wish to attend.

NOTE: Basic policy information and the text for the waiver is also listed on the Parent Portal and can be accessed at any time by selecting “Policies/Procedures | Family Policies” from the left-side menu bar.

BILLING FAQ

NO MORE SESSIONS? WHY?

Since our inception, parents have asked for a way to pay for classes on a regular basis--like a gym membership--instead of re-registering every session. To better serve our families, Dynamite offers auto-pay monthly subscription system. This enrollment system offers numerous advantages over our previous system: flexibility to enroll anytime and cancel at the end of any month*; smaller monthly payments (replacing larger lump-sum session fees); and no-hassle automatic monthly billing.

WHY ARE THE MONTHLY RATES ALL THE SAME, NO MATTER HOW MANY CLASSES ARE IN A MONTH?

My daughter's Monday class meets three times in September, but her friend's Tuesday class meets four times. Why do we both pay the same monthly fee?

To determine monthly tuition, Dynamite calculated the number of classes offered on a specific day for the year and set our monthly pricing based on an average of four classes per month (over the course of the year). Regardless of whether the class day you select has three, four, or five classes in any given month, the monthly tuition remains fixed. This pricing structure accounts for holidays (listed below) and other predetermined gym closures, so make-ups are only needed for missed classes. (See *** under “What Happens When You Miss a Class,” below)

WHEN CAN I REGISTER?

Our new system invites families to enroll in classes anytime. If you register for a class that occurs on the same day, our system assumes your gymnast will attend that day’s class. If you know your child cannot attend until the following week, please wait until the following day to enroll. Please note if there are still four classes remaining in the current month after the first week it will bill for the full amount (as our system assumes four classes are in a month).

Example: If you are registering your child for a Saturday class on Saturday and do not intend for your child to attend until the following Saturday, please wait until Sunday to register.

HOW DO I SET UP MONTHLY BILLING?

When in the Parent Portal, click on the CLASSES button. Set up a login and once you pick a class for you or your child(ren), it will prompt you to enter your payment information. When you register, you will automatically be set up for monthly billing. Should you wish to unenroll from the billing cycle, simply visit your account and set end dates for when you wish to end (NOTE: Customers are responsible for setting their end dates. We do not issue refunds for families who neglect to set their classes to end by their preferred date).

THE SYSTEM ALLOWS ME TO SET AN END DATE MID-MONTH--CAN I PRO-RATE MY LAST MONTH?

Although the system allows for end-dates at any point during the month, our policy is to set end-dates for the LAST day of the month. You may select another day, but we will NOT issue credits or refunds if you elect to do so.

CAN YOU EXPLAIN MY FIRST BILL? WHY IS MY FIRST BILL ZERO?

A gymnast’s initial registration fee includes the pro-rated amount for the remainder of the month in which the gymnast enrolls (based on the number of classes remaining). If there are no classes remaining in that month, we will prorate your bill to $0. Don't worry, you're still registered for the class! We will bill your account accordingly on the first of the month.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY ENROLLMENT?

Students may drop at the end of any month by sending an email request to hello@dynamite2.com at least 2 days prior to the last day of the month. Notifying staff in person or over the phone, or submitting a drop request via the parent portal does not constitute a drop request. Unfortunately, our system does not notify us of drop requests, so to make sure we don't miss your request, we require an email notification. It is up to parents or the responsible party to drop the class on time via email; refunds will not be granted for failure to do so.

Our administrative staff is currently working remotely and is limited. Please provide at least 48-hours notice for any requests.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MID-MONTH?

In the event your child has to end mid-month, cancel your monthly billing before being charged for the following month and drop in (for a fee) for the remaining classes. Be advised that drop-in classes are contingent upon availability.

Example: I wish to terminate my son’s Wednesday class on November 15th. I enter my termination date as October 31st, and drop in for the remaining three classes based on availability (paying the drop-in fee of $35 for each 60-minute class).

THE CREDIT CARD I ENROLLED WITH IS NO LONGER VALID. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

To participate in our auto-pay monthly billing, you must associate your account with a valid credit card number, stored in our secure online system. Should you need to update or change your credit card information for any reason, visit your payment profile to make the necessary change. Please contact us with any questions. If a monthly payment cannot be processed on the credit card we have on file, you will receive an e-mail requesting that you update your credit card information.

WILL I RECEIVE AN ORDER CONFIRMATION?

Yes. After you register, you will receive an e-mail receipt confirming your first online payment. Depending on when you register, this receipt will show the pro-rated fee for the current month. The charge for each full month will remain the same (subject to annual inflationary pricing adjustments).

I USED TO TAKE CLASSES AT A DYNAMITE GYM. HOW DO I RE-ENROLL?

You may re-enroll at anytime, at any Dynamite gym. If you wish to re-enroll at the same gym where you were previously enrolled, simply log on to your account and register your gymnasts for your desired classes. It's as easy as that! If you wish to enroll at a different Dynamite gym, you must create a new account and re-enter your billing information on the Parent Portal for that gym.

DOES DYNAMITE OFFER ANY TUITION DISCOUNTS?

We offer discounts calculated automatically upon checkout. For gymnasts who enroll in more than one class, each additional class is offered at approximately 25% off the regular single-class monthly fee (we round up to the nearest $5). In addition, we offer a 5% discount off the regular single-class monthly fee when a twin sibling is enrolled in classes (discount applies only to the second twin’s enrollment). For families who enroll a third sibling in a class, Dynamite also offers a 5% discount off the monthly rate on the third child's class. Some Dynamite gyms offer a U.S. Military discount, please contact the individual gym for more information.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Dynamite has a strict privacy policy regarding the information our families enter into our systems. Each Dynamite gym maintains separate systems so as to manage our customers’ data more securely. Credit card information entered into our systems is kept confidential from all employees and cannot be accessed by anyone (excepting the last four digits for card identification purposes). If there is a billing problem, we will contact you by phone and/or e-mail to resolve it. Our coaches and instructors do not have access to any of your personal information excepting your child’s name and age.

All families registering for classes must enter valid contact information. We will never sell this information to anyone nor use it for any purpose except to communicate gym closures or delays; contact parents about billing, student or class issues; inform families about Dynamite news or events; or in the case of emergencies. You may opt out of receiving any Dynamite news at any time by logging into your gym’s Parent Portal and selecting “Family” from the left-hand menu bar.

However, IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER IS LISTED ON YOUR ACCOUNT if your child is enrolled in classes, camp or attends open gym. We must have a way to communicate with you in case of an emergency. To that end, please keep your contact information up-to-date in the Parent Portal for the gym at which you are enrolled.

ONCE YOU’RE ENROLLED

MAY I SWITCH CLASSES AFTER REGISTERING?

Yes, you may transfer you or your child to a different class at any time (advanced classes, TeamTrack or Team require permission). Your new class will be added to your cart where you can review any charges. The system automatically calculates your credit due from the class from which you are switching. The system then applies that credit to the cost of the new class. You will be billed any difference. Your transfer is NOT complete until you have checked out through your cart.

Dynamite reserves the right to switch a student to a different class due to low enrollment during summer months, when the child has difficulty keeping up with the class, lacks sufficient skills compared to the other students, or would be more successful in a different class. Students MUST be the requisite age before attending a class, regardless of teacher recommendations. The system will not let students switch if they do not meet the minimum age.

WILL I RECEIVE AN EVALUATION?

Gymnasts ages 3 to 17 are entitled, depending on the class, to an evaluation of their progress and performance by their instructor. If you would like to receive an evaluation for your child, please contact the front desk.

WHAT IS BEING “ON HOLD” IN A CLASS? HOW DO I RE-REGISTER AFTER BEING ON HOLD?

Dynamite offers a “Hold” option for $25 a month per student that enables families to retain all of their missed classes, even if their children are no longer actively enrolled in a class. Let the front desk know that you wish to go on hold before the end of the month so that you may be billed only the $25 on the first of the next month. As long as you stay on hold, you can use your make-ups any time you wish. Please note that being "on hold" does not reserve a spot in a class, but rather keeps your account active so you do not lose your make-ups. You must register for each day you wish to attend, no more than a week in advance, as a drop-in/trial enrollment.

If you wish to re-enroll at the same gym where you were previously enrolled, simply log on to your account and register your gymnasts for the class(es) of choice at any time. If you wish to enroll at a different Dynamite gym, you must create a new account and re-enter your billing information on the Parent Portal for that gym.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MISS A CLASS

MAKE-UP POLICY

Dynamite has a liberal make up policy. So long as the student is enrolled (in class or on hold), unlimited make-ups can be used for classes or exchanged for other programs (see bulleted list, below). You can schedule make ups up to one week in advance of the date on which you wish to take the make-up class. The class must not be full or empty. You can schedule your make-up by selecting the class and selecting “make up” in the Enrollment Type drop-down field on the next page.

Make-ups can be redeemed in multiple ways:

  • Classes at any Dynamite gym: If a student goes on hold, parents can work through their accumulated make-ups by scheduling classes on a drop-in/trial basis. It’s a super way to try out our other gyms and programs, such as ninja warrior, parkour or trampoline & tumbling.

  • Events at any Dynamite gyms: From September through June, we have movie nights, open houses, ninja warrior or parkour competitions, Trunk or Treat for Halloween and other fun activities for the entire family.

  • Open Gym sessions at any Dynamite gym: each of our gyms has a different focus with different equipment. You can use make-ups to try them all!

  • School’s Out Camp or Summer Camp: See the details on our Camps page for the trade-in ratio to see how much camp you can get for your makeups.

  • Best of all, makeups can be used for siblings and even friends who are not currently enrolled at Dynamite.

***MY CLASS FALLS ON A HOLIDAY, CAN I SCHEDULE A MAKE-UP?

No. These holidays are calculated into the class schedule, so no make-ups are permitted for these days.

WE’RE GOING AWAY FROM THE SUMMER BUT I DON’T WANT TO LOSE ALL MY MAKEUPS. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Dynamite offers a “Hold”option for $25 a month per student that enables families to retain all of their missed classes, even if their children are no longer actively enrolled in classes. Let the front desk know that you wish to go on hold before the end of the month so that you may be billed only the $25 on the first of the next month. As long as you stay on hold, you can use your make-ups any time you wish. Families with a flexible schedule, who have accumulated a lot of make-ups, may choose to go on hold indefinitely and use up their make-ups as drop-in/trial classes. Make-ups can be redeemed in other ways, also; see the list under “Make-Up Policy,” above.

GYM CLOSURES AND DELAYS

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

All Dynamite gyms are closed for the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Easter Sunday

  • Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

  • Independence Day (July 4th)

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Weekend (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

  • Christmas Day

Please see Billing FAQs, above, for questions about why gym closures don’t affect monthly billing.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In case of inclement weather, Dynamite will keep the gyms open if we believe that families can access our facilities safely and staff are able to arrive for work. Otherwise, we will delay classes or close gyms altogether, as soon as we determine that the safety of our staff and students is at risk. We make every effort to communicate gym delays or closures at the earliest possible moment via social media, on our websites, and by sending an e-mail directly to our currently enrolled families. (For that reason, it is key that we have your latest and best contact information in our system. Please keep your contact information current in our system by logging in to the Parent Portal and updating your records.)

To check for any delays or closures, please check the Facebook page or website of the Dynamite gym at which you are enrolled. List of gyms and their websites/social media accounts.
